With a huge thank you to Stan of Alba Rods we held out first competition where the prize for best Carp, and best Fly caught fish won a fantastic custom built rod. Alba rods hand builds rods to your requirements and using the very best in blanks, the rods will last a life time. All proceeds went to the RNLI a very worthwhile charity.

*dave* with his 12lb Carp caught on a pole with 2.1lb breaking strain line, took a hour to get in and broke his pole in the process.

Fly,

This was won by Tack4, a relative new comer to the sport of fly fishing, he caught his personal best trout at just over 4lb on buzzer, this was caught during the night which makes the catch even more special.

We hope the rods come of use to you guys. It was hard to choose a winner with so many good entries submitted.
