Bream
The common bream is a shy fish that may only give you the slightest twitchon the float or quiver tip. They can grow upto around the 18lb mark,They live in shoals and usually found near the bottom of still waters and slow moving rivers, they are sluggish and have often been reffered to as bringing in a plastic bag, bream tend not to fight once hooked. Alot of Carp anglers refer to bream as a nusiance fish, they can quiet often take a couple of boilies put out for carp. To catch bream you need lots of groundbait, maggots, chopped worms, sweetcorn all laced in the ground bait and dont be shy about putting it in the water. Once the bait stops going in the bream just move on, Night fishing has the best results using either bread worm or sweetcorn on the quiver tip. I've found the best groundbait is one that turns red like sensas super rouge, mixed with crumb. One of the best places i know for bream is Sailhouse borad in Norfolk or the river bure in Norfolk. Ask in the forums for more information on these places. To recognise bream is easy they are a deep bodied fish with a golden brown colour which darkens as it reaches it back bone and they have a white belly.
